Salerno Podcast
With the project "Podcast Salerno" the Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the State Institute of Art
"Filiberto Menna," and Erchempert Cultural Association, will offer tourists an instrument of exploitation territorial agile and innovative, as well as user-friendly.
The project aims to discuss the world of tourism and new technologies and to put technology at the service of tourists for a more complete and more user-friendly presentation of destinations and their attractions: the technological tool in the service of tourism as an element of destination marketing.
Many investigations conducted in the various segments of the tourism market have shown that the search for information about possible destinations of travel is increasingly taking place through the use of the Internet, which has now overtaken the traditional word of mouth and the usual communication channels (magazines, advertising campaigns, publications etc..).
To provide this information it was decided to resort to podcasting, which is a system that allows you to automatically download files (usually audio or video) podcast called, once acquired by the network connected to it via a support (eg computer, phone), can be enjoyed or on the support itself or on audio / video players.
The first phase involves the construction of tour audio file of individual monuments as well as urban areas or urban, benefit from mobility in and through a simple mp3 player (an I-Pod, a generic reader, a multimedia phone, a PDA, etc.). .
The creation of a sound system covering the entire field led provincial is a new idea to fruition of the historic and artistic heritage. Attention was focused, then, the need to find a common thread to the original benefit, in an innovative way, the historical evidence. What makes it very attractive project in the element is provided by these two emotional elements:

The idea is to create a tool that allows tourists to enjoy the charm and the area offers many faces.
